Consumer Narrative

I co-signed a lease for my wifes cousin and she always paid and left after her lease was over. I have an email saying we owe the apartment complex {$0.00}. I called the apartment complex previously and they said they have no record prior to 2025 because the previous owner sold all of the renters information to a debt collector. I have reason to believe XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX falsified debt and sold the debt to collections. Collector is Sequium Asset Solutions
