I am filing this formal complaint against Williams Rush & Assoc for ongoing and willful violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). Williams Rush & Associates has falsely reported a collection account on my consumer credit report that is being incorrectly attributed to me. I have no contractual or financial relationship with this company, nor have they provided any verifiable documentation to substantiate their claimsuch as a signed contract, account statements, or any proof of debt ownership. Despite my previous written requests for validation and my cease-and-desist notice, the company has : Failed to conduct a proper investigation as required under 15 U.S.C. 1681i ( a ) of the FCRA. Continued to update and report false information on my credit file after being notified of the dispute. Ignored my written cease-and-desist request, thereby violating 15 U.S.C. 1692c ( c ) of the FDCPA.
