Consumer Narrative

I am submitting this complaint regarding the following tradeline that is inaccurately appearing on my credit reports : XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX Account # XXXX reporting as Charge-Off on Equifax and TransUnion. The account is listed as Authorized User. I never agreed to be an authorized user on this account, I do not recognize the account holder, and the account has nothing to do with me. I requested removal from the reporting furnisher, but XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX has refused or failed to correct this designation. This reporting is inaccurate and violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). Specifically : Under 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ), consumer reporting agencies must follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy. Reporting a charge-off tied to me as an Authorized User when I never authorized or used the account is objectively misleading and inaccurate. Under 15 U.S.C. 1681i ( a ), when a consumer disputes information, the CRA must conduct a reasonable reinvestigation. Vague statements such as verified with furnisher are insufficient where the consumer denies any relationship to the account. Under 15 U.S.C. 1681i ( a ) ( 5 ) ( B ), if an item was previously deleted, any reinsertion requires a written certification from the furnisher and consumer notice. I have not received any such certification or notice.
