On XX/XX/XXXX, I signed up to work with National Debt Relief. My intention in entering into a contract with the company was to have a third party negotiate my credit card payments on my behalf to help me pay off all my credit cards. What I thought was a good idea quickly turned into a seven-month nightmare. A representative from National Debt Relief assured me that they would negotiate with my creditors ( XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX Credit Card ) ) for lower monthly payments, especially since I had experienced financial hardship in XXXX and XXXX due to unstable employment and moving costs. I was told that I would only need to pay National Debt Relief {$420.00} a month while they handled negotiations with my creditors. Before working with National Debt Relief, my credit score was in the XXXX, and before moving to Colorado, it had been in the XXXX. Unfortunately, National Debt Relief did absolutely nothing on their end. They did not negotiate with my creditors and advised me to ignore calls from them, claiming they were in the process of negotiating my debt. It does not take seven months to negotiate with creditors. During this period, National Debt Relief continued to withdraw money from my checking account. Despite reaching out to them multiple times for updates on the negotiation progress, a representative repeatedly told me that they were still in the process. Consequently, I watched my credit score plummet to the XXXX. Finally, I was able to obtain a refund from National Debt Relief in XX/XX/XXXX. Due to their fraudulent actionsdragging their feet in resolving my debt while continuing to take my money and allowing my credit score to fallI am officially submitting a complaint against them.
