Entered into forbearance with citizens which ended in XXXX of 2025. I was approved for a loan modification with paperwork dated XX/XX/XXXX of 2025 detailing a trial period for the new payment amount. XXXX trial payments were due between XXXX and XXXX and all were made in advanced and on time. New loan documents were notarized in XXXX of 2025 and updated paperwork confirmed first modified loan payment was due XX/XX/ 2025. Loan was modified to add a balloon payment amount to the end of the loan for all missed payments during forbearance. Citizens has reported all months of the trial period payment plan ( XXXX ) as XXXX days late to credit bureaus. When contacted, citizens has insisted that even though all instructions were followed in accordance with the forbearance and modification process, they are marking the balloon amount due ( from the forbearance period ) as XXXX days late because it was not paid in full prior to the loan being modified. The account now has 5 months of missed payments reported as XXXX days late, even though trial payments were received. First payment of the trial period plan was also made in XXXX ( earlier than required ) and rather than advise me that this needed to be applied to a XXXX day late balance, it was applied to the following months trial payment. No payments during the life of the loan were ever missed or late unless instructed by citizens in accordance with the instructions of their payment plan.
