YOUR COMPLAINT I am writing to formally submit a complaint against XXXX XXXX and Unisa Inc. regarding deceptive financial aid practices and institutional XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX. As background, XXXX XXXX has been the subject of numerous lawsuits for fraudulent and deceptive practices. In XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted a XXXX XXXX to Repayment application to the U.S. Department of Education, which was recently approved with 100 % of my federal student loans forgiven. I also received refunds for all payments previously made toward those federal loans. This relief was significant and acknowledged the unlawful practices employed by XXXX XXXX. However, I am now addressing the matter of the XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX tied to XXXX XXXX. When I enrolled in XX/XX/XXXX, I was told by the schools financial aid advisors that, due to my income, I would be required to pay {$150.00} per month while enrolled, and that I would have no more than XXXX payments remaining after graduation. I was explicitly informed that these $ XXXX monthly payments were being applied toward my federal student loans. Only after graduation did I learn that the payments had not been applied to my federal student loans. Instead, they had been directed toward an undisclosed XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was never provided with statements, account balances, or documentation reflecting how those payments were being applied. Shortly after, I was contacted by XXXX XXXX, my federal loan servicer, and informed that I had a remaining balance of more than {$50000.00} on my federal loans, despite the assurances I had received from XXXX XXXX financial aid staff. Around the same time, I began receiving calls from XXXX XXXXUnisa , who stated they were collecting on the XXXX XXXX XXXX associated with XXXX XXXX XXXX At no point during my enrollment was I made aware of such a loan. Nevertheless, from XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, I made consistent monthly payments of approximately {$140.00} to XXXX XXXXUnisa . In XX/XX/XXXX, the remaining balance of {$3600.00} was written off. Following the Department of Educations findings of fraud and misrepresentation against XXXX XXXX, I sought further information from XXXX XXXXUnisa regarding the XXXX XXXX XXXX Specifically, I requested a copy of the master promissory note for the loan. I was informed that no such documentation exists. Without a signed promissory note or other binding agreement, there is no legal basis for the origination or collection of the XXXX loan. Given that XXXX XXXX engaged in deceptive and fraudulent practices that were confirmed by the Department of Education, and that there is no evidence of a valid, legally enforceable loan agreement for the XXXX institutional loan, I respectfully request a full refund of all payments I made toward this loan between XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I am prepared to provide documentation of the payments I made, including dates and amounts, to assist in reviewing this matter. Thank you for your attention to this complaint. I look forward to your response.
