Re : Request for Investigation and Removal of Inaccurate Reporting Account XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally dispute the accuracy and completeness of information being reported on my Equifax credit file in regard to the above-referenced account with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX reported as Charge Off. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), 15 U.S.C. 1681i, I have the right to dispute any information in my credit report that I believe is inaccurate, incomplete, unverifiable, or misleading. After reviewing my credit file, I have identified several discrepancies regarding this account : XXXX. The account is listed as Charge Off with a XXXX balance and a closed date of XX/XX/year>, yet it continues to report adverse statuses beyond the date of closure, which is misleading. XXXX. Narrative codes indicate Consumer Disputes This Account Information and Account Previously in Dispute Resolved by Data Furnisher, yet the account remains with derogatory notations, which contradicts accurate reporting requirements. XXXX. The account shows inconsistent reporting regarding payment history, including multiple late payment designations after the account was closed, which is not permissible under the FCRA.
