Furthermore, under 1681i, the CRAs are required to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation of any disputed information. The responses I receivedstatements such as Completed investigation consumer disagreesare not sufficient under the statute. They do not reflect a reasonable reinvestigation, nor do they resolve the fact that the accounts remain unverifiable. Requested Relief I respectfully request that the CFPB : Investigate Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion for failure to comply with 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 and 1681i. Direct the CRAs to delete or suppress the disputed accounts unless they can be fully verified with proper documentation from the original creditors. Require the CRAs to provide me with an updated credit report reflecting accurate information. Ensure that these agencies implement corrective procedures to prevent further violations of the FCRA. Supporting Documentation I am prepared to provide copies of my credit reports, prior dispute letters, and responses from the CRAs showing their failure to adequately verify the disputed information. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I respectfully request your assistance in ensuring my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act are protected.
