My number is XXXX. The outdated number XXXX. Should been updated on my credit bureau account and will be updated Monday with CFPB. This is a follow-up to CFPB COMPLAINT ( XXXX ). In the prior complaint the credit bureau stated they would take 60 days, to respond to a dispute I filed.- this exceeds the 30 days limit outlined in the fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). With only a 15 day extension allowed if additional information is provided by the consumer during the initial period. I was unable to respond to the company 's message in the portal because the case was closed. After their initial ( non-complaint ) reply. This left no opportunity to contest their time-line or request CFPB oversight. Request action : * Reopen or review this complaint * Ensure the Credit bureau is held to the legal 30 day timeline ( or 45 days if properly extended ). * Take enforcement or escalation action if the bureau fails to comply.
