I was originally contacted in XXXX because I was eligible for a refinance on my current home loan through Freedom Mortgage. I was told that it would be a simple process and I wouldn't have to pay that months Mortgage payment. It was originally never explained to me that I would need to hold on to the Mortgage payment for closing costs. I scheduled a closing date ( to which they cancelled without telling me ). When i contacted Freedome Mortgage, I was transferred 4 times. None of which could tell me what was going on. I finally got to closing with the title company and they showed me the disclosure which asked for around {$1100.00} in closing. I obviously did not have that or know i was supposed to bring that to closing. I delayed closing until after I got paid again later in the month. I was notified by the title company that my cost would be around {$1000.00} on my next closing XX/XX/XXXX. I had to move the closing day, XXXX days later so my wife could be there. I was notified the DAY before ( by the title company, not freedom mortgage ) that my closing cost went up to {$1600.00}. I did not have an extra {$500.00} so I did not close. Now I am a month behind on my mortgage with no way to catch up due to horrible communication on Freedom Mortgages part and they now will not close until I make the late payment.
