I am submitting this complaint to formally notify the Federal Trade Commission of ongoing violations of my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), 15 U.S.C. 1681 et seq., and to request immediate enforcement action. I have contacted all three nationwide credit reporting agenciesEquifax, Experian, and TransUnionto dispute negative, inaccurate, and fraudulent information appearing on my credit reports, including collections and late payments that do not belong to me. Despite following the dispute process required under 15 U.S.C. 1681i, the agencies have refused to remove or correct this information. Furthermore, the agencies are required to block reporting of fraudulent information once notified. Their continued refusal to do so is a direct violation of federal law and exposes me to further financial and reputational harm. I have already contacted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ), which is reviewing this matter. However, due to the seriousness of these ongoing violations and the data security failures of all three agencies, I am also requesting FTC intervention to ensure compliance and enforcement. I am therefore demanding the immediate removal of all negative, unverifiable, and illegal reporting from my credit files. These items are the result of fraud, identity theft, and unlawful reporting practices. I respectfully request that the FTC take immediate enforcement action to hold the credit reporting agencies accountable for both their failure to safeguard consumer data and their refusal to comply with the FCRAs dispute and fraud-blocking requirements.
