On XX/XX/year>, the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX states that services at my property were stopped. I am the property owner ( XXXX ). When my tenant moved in, the tenant opened a utility account, and my XXXX account was automatically closed by the utility system. I never requested the closure myself and I was not given the opportunity to provide a final billing address. The utility had my billing address and email address on file, but the final bill was instead mailed only to the service address ( the tenants residence ). As a result, I never received the final bill. Later, without any notice to me, the account was sent to a collection agency with additional collection fees added. I dispute these extra charges. I am willing to pay the base water charges, but I should not be penalized with late fees or collection fees caused by the utilitys failure to properly notify me. I request that the collection fees be removed, that I be allowed to pay the original charges directly, and that no negative credit reporting result from this matter.
