Equifax altered my XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX payment history retroactively. On or about XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX months that were previously reported as Current were changed to late payments : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Late These late payments were not present on earlier reports and were added years later, which constitutes unlawful re-aging under FCRA 605 ( c ). A credit bureau can not go back years and insert new late payments that were never originally reported. This change has damaged my credit score, misrepresents my payment history, and violates my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I request that CFPB require XXXX and Equifax to either : Provide documentation of original billing records showing these lates, or Remove them immediately from my file.
