I have terminal XXXX XXXX and permanently XXXX and am barely able to survive on my ssi benefits each month but desperately need that money to live and without notice navy federal credit union ( my bank ) has frozen my funds due to a levy they claim was made by XXXX. I never got any kind of prior notice whatsoever from my bank or XXXX. On XX/XX/year> I called XXXX XXXX to inquire why my account was frozen and they said I needed to call XXXX to resolve it and I was given a phone number by my bank which was a number of somebody trying to sell me a medical device. I googled the direct number for XXXX and was told they have no record of me. I called my bank back on XX/XX/XXXX to report what XXXX told me and they did nothing and referred me back to XXXX to resolve and further stated they have no authority to release the freeze on my account even though I informed my funds are exempt from levy or freeze. This has caused extreme stress and hardship on my mental health and wellbeing on top of my ability to survive. This has also interfered with my XXXX XXXX treatments that are keeping me alive.
