I am submitting this formal complaint against Experian for multiple violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) in connection with fraudulent accounts that remain on my credit report despite my repeated disputes and submission of legally sufficient documentation. The accounts in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX were opened fraudulently and are the result of identity theft. I provided Experian with a government-issued ID, proof of address, an FTC Identity Theft Report, and a signed statement under penalty of perjury, all of which satisfy the requirements under FCRA 605B . I also requested full disclosure of all information used to verify the disputed accounts, as permitted under FCRA 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), but Experian has not provided this information. These failures constitute both negligent and willful noncompliance with the FCRA, entitling me to damages under 616 and 617. I am demanding the immediate and permanent deletion of the fraudulent accounts listed above. I also request full documentation of any investigation conducted, including the identity of the furnisher, the method of verification, and the date of response. Additionally, I am seeking monetary damages totaling {$2500.00} : {$1000.00} in actual damages for financial harm and emotional distress, {$1000.00} in punitive damages for willful noncompliance, and {$500.00} for legal expenses incurred in pursuing this complaint. I do not consent to electronic communication and request that all correspondence be sent via USPS mail. For reference and further substantiation, I am attaching a copy of the letter dated XX/XX/year>, which outlines my dispute and legal demand for deletion. This letter serves as formal notice and supports the claims made in this complaint.
