I am disputing the reporting of my XXXX XXXX loan account. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) previously confirmed that XXXX agreed to delete this account and its payment history from my credit report. On XX/XX/year>, I paid this loan in full in the amount of {$1600.00} ( Confirmation # XXXX ). Despite this, XXXX has reported the account as open and delinquent, which is false. I have never been late on any of my payments with any lender. I have always had a perfect credit history, including with XXXX. This loan was placed in forbearance, and XXXX failed to notify me when it came out of forbearance. Each time I called, the automated system stated the account was still in forbearance and no payments could be made. I only discovered it was marked past due after reviewing my credit report. At that point, I immediately contacted XXXX, spoke with a manager, and paid the account in full. XXXX actions have caused serious damage to my credit. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( a ) ), furnishers must report only accurate information. 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ) requires credit bureaus to maintain maximum possible accuracy, and 15 U.S.C. 1681i requires correction of disputed information. XXXX is at fault and has not honored their agreement with the CFPB to delete this account.
