In XX/XX/year>, I disputed a XXXX XXXX account that was inaccurately reported on my Equifax credit file. After investigation, Equifax deleted the account, and I confirmed that it was removed. However, the same account was later reinserted into my report without any notice or certification from the furnisher, which violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 611 ( a ) ( 5 ) ( B ). Since then, I have contacted Equifax on multiple occasions regarding this issue, but the account remains. Equifax has failed to : Properly investigate my disputes within 30 days, as required by FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 1 ). Provide the method of verification upon request, as required by FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 7 ). Permanently block and delete unverifiable or fraudulent information, as required by FCRA 605B ( 15 U.S.C. 1681c2 ). The reinsertion of a previously deleted account without following federal requirements is unlawful and has caused continued harm to my credit profile. PLEASE SEE ATTACHMENTS BELOW
