Background : Due to my name being very simple and common, Experian and Equifax have been having all sorts of other people 's information added to my account. Including but not limited to credit card information, names, addresses, and hard pulls. I raised multiple disputes with Experian and Equifax already. Here, I listed my problems with Experian and Equifax separately. Problems with Experian : XX/XX/2025 : A hard pull showed up on my Experian account, from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I immediately suspected identity theft and fraud. Therefore I tried to contact Experian as soon as possible but they said to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX first. Then, I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding the issue, which XXXX XXXX XXXX claimed they've flagged my account, but there's nothing else they could do before an account is added. XX/XX/2025 : I waited patiently and monitored my Experian account closely. On this day, I received another notification saying a XXXX XXXX XXXX credit card has been added to my account. Unfortunately XX/XX/2025 is XXXX XXXX, so I couldn't reach anyone. XX/XX/2025 : I called XXXX XXXX XXXX first at XXXX as Experian opens at XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX fraud department said they couldn't locate this account using my social security number, my name, or my address. They've submitted a claim to find and close that account, but I received no email about the claim. I then called Experian at XXXX. Their fraud department said they disputed all of my wrong names except one, as that one is connected to a XXXX XXXX XXXX account. I asked them to dispute the hard pull & credit card as well, and they said it's under dispute but I received no email notification about any of the disputes. Experian asked me to go back to XXXX XXXX XXXX, so I asked them for a credit card account number, which they declined to provide. Therefore, I would like to raise it to CFPB to get this resolved. Problems with Equifax : I have a name " XXXX XXXX XXXX, '' and " XXXX XXXX '' added as my name, which I disputed multiple times. Equifax 's resolution is to change this name to my previously used name. However, I HAVE NOT USED THAT NAME AT ALL. I want it removed, completely! XX/XX/2025 : I disputed the name again. Provided my passport, my driver 's license, my XXXX, everything. They all showed my real name. There's no document where " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' is on it. With all these information, due to Equifax 's oversight and ignorance, They switched my real name to previously used, and put this " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' name again as my current name! XX/XX/2025 : I disputed again about this nonsense and no reply. I also found out that my husband 's name listed is also wrong. Please fix it too.
