Reporting a closed/paid account as negative violates this duty. FCRA 1681n & 1681o : The bureaus and World Finance are subject to statutory damages ( {$1000.00} per violation ), actual damages, and attorneys fees for willful and negligent noncompliance. FDCPA 1692e : It is a false, misleading, and deceptive representation to suggest I still owe an obligation when the account is paid in full. UCC 1-308 ( Reservation of Rights ) : As a consumer, I do not waive any rights under the Uniform Commercial Code. Any attempt to continue reporting false/obsolete derogatory data without my consent is an unlawful commercial practice. UCC 3-501 ( b ) ( 2 ) : A presentment of any claim must be backed by proof. If World Finance or the bureaus can not produce a signed, valid, enforceable contract showing my consent to continued derogatory reporting, they are acting in bad faith. Relief Requested Immediate deletion of the World Finance Corporat account from all consumer credit reports ( Experian, Equifax, TransUnion ).
