I went to open a PNC Checking account on XX/XX/year> in the XXXX, VA location of PNC Bank. I told them I wanted to participate in the bonus for {$400.00} when you have {$5000.00} in Direct Deposits in 30 days. They said okay. They were very confused with their computer systems and how many of the basic accounts worked. I tried to go through this with them to make sure we were setting this up correctly. They assured me we were. I then had multiple direct deposits from my employer into the account that they had set up for me. They set up my direct deposit as well. Months later, I still hadnt received my {$400.00} reward. I spoke with them today and they told me I have not had any deposits. I said no, showed my statements, and made it clear I had done what the employees had told me to. This is where they said that my direct deposit went to my XXXX account and not my XXXX Account. I was confused as the employees had set that up for me. I explained this and they said that it was not the right account so I can not get the bonus. I said how I fulfilled my end, and the errors were due to their employees, but I still had placed XXXX into my new account, what the employees had told me. They were not helpful and told me to take it up with the help desk. I am very upset. I dont understand why I am being penalized for the actions of their employees not correctly setting up the bonus right. Now I cant have a do-over because the offer only applies to new customers. I have lost out on something I rightfully earned, and even lost out on the ability to try and earn it again. I am requesting assistance. Thank you.
