I had a savings account with Wells Fargo bank. I opened the savings account in XXXX and deposited {$96000.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from the XXXX Connecticut branch asking if I had added anyone to my savings account I replied no absolutely not. They then informed me that someone came in there and tried to withdraw {$8000.00} from my savings account and that this person was somehow added on my savings account. When I asked where the transaction took place where this person was added, they were added by a banker in person in the XXXX, Connecticut branch where I frequent. The banker who is responsible, added XXXX of her friends to my savings account as this was a targeted act. I do not know her personally she also opened an account for my estranged husband a month prior. I was informed that the only account compromised was my savings account as I had a checking in savings with Wells Fargo. I then immediately had to transfer all of my money out of my savings account into my checking account. I immediately had to change banks and close both accounts with Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo did not contact the police when the crime took place.
