The company Andreu & Palma XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, FL XXXX. Sent me 1 letter stating my payment was missing upon logging into my account when returning from out of the country the settlement amount owed was now displaying as the total debt prior to my lawyer making a settlement agreement. When asking them why I was not called or emailed or notified via mail sooner the response was due to omission of the contract they were not legally required to notify me that the agreement was going to default or of the change to the agreement prior to defaulting without notice. I called to settle the amount that was overdue to make the account whole and was told I was notified via mail months prior which did not occur. I asked him when the notice was sent, and he stated on the 17th of the month and the agreement stated the payments are on the 20th so the claimed notifications is still not valid if the payment was not late past the date it was due. I call to make the account whole, and they state that no notice is required and now they will collect the full amount but wanted to honor the agreement. If they wanted to honor the agreement they would have provided proper notice or reach out very phone. Over the phone he stated it is illegal to notify the account holder of the change to their account, and I was never provided a 30-day notice.
