On XX/XX/XXXX, while reviewing my credit report, I noticed a fraudulent collection account reported by LVNV Funding in the amount of {$610.00}, with the original creditor listed as Credit One Bank N.A. This account is not mine. It had already been removed back in XXXX after I filed disputes for identity theft. Despite that, on XX/XX/XXXX, LVNV Funding reinserted this same account without giving me any notice. That is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 605B, which requires credit bureaus and furnishers to block and permanently delete fraudulent accounts once they are reported. Right now, XXXX is reporting it as a Collection/Chargeoff and marking it as disputed, but that is not enough. The law requires this account to be deleted and permanently blocked from reappearing. I am requesting that this account be immediately deleted from all credit reports, that LVNV Funding be investigated for re-reporting a fraudulent debt, and that steps be taken to make sure it never comes back again.
