I disputed inaccurate reporting of the XXXX tradeline with Experian in XX/XX/XXXX. Despite providing evidence, Experian failed to ensure complete and accurate reporting as required by FCRA 1681e ( b ) and 1681i. The account shows repossessions and charge-offs but contains entire years of missing data ( all of XXXX and XXXX XXXX marked as XXXX ) and inconsistent status changes. Before the dispute, the account showed XXXX set of statuses ; afterward, Experian only changed the wording from charged off to closed while leaving large gaps in reporting history. This results in a materially misleading record that does not reflect accurate or complete payment history. Under FCRA, consumer reporting agencies must ensure maximum possible accuracy and correct or delete unverifiable information. Experian did not correct these issues and continues to report an incomplete, contradictory tradeline, despite being on notice. I am requesting CFPB assistance to require Experian to either properly verify with the furnisher or delete this account from my file due to failure to meet FCRA accuracy and reinvestigation requirements.
