I am submitting this formal complaint against Experian for multiple violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) in connection with fraudulent accounts that remain on my credit report despite my repeated disputes and submission of legally sufficient documentation. The account in questionXXXX XXXX XXXX was opened fraudulently and is the result of identity theft. I provided Experian with a government-issued ID, proof of address, an FTC Identity Theft Report, and a signed statement under penalty of perjury, all of which satisfy the requirements under FCRA 605B . Despite this, Experian failed to block the fraudulent information within XXXX business days, as required by law. Furthermore, Experian has violated FCRA 611 ( a ) by failing to conduct a proper reinvestigation of my dispute within the XXXX statutory window. I also requested full disclosure of all information used to verify the disputed accounts, as permitted under FCRA 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), but Experian has not provided this information. These failures constitute both negligent and willful noncompliance with the FCRA, entitling me to damages under 616 and 617.
