From the XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I have been in constant contact with XXXX XXXX Bank regarding a loan that was charged off in XXXX due to it being inadvertently left out of my repayment program. I contacted XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX to inquire about this loan and how to handle it. I contacted the collections agency and accepted a settlement. I settled the account for less than the full balance around XXXX. The collections agency, XXXX, informed me that my account with them was closed following the settlement and that XXXX does not do credit bureau reporting. I contacted XXXX XXXX several times to confirm they had my account, the settlement information, etc. necessary to update the credit bureaus. Some XXXX XXXX agents told me that everything was handled and to wait XXXX days, other agents told me they were unsure why I was contacting XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX they did not have my account. XXXX also claims to not have my loan account. Both companies continued to state that I should speak to the other company about the matter. XXXX XXXX agents instructed me to file disputes with the documentation I had ( release of debt letter, proof of payment, etc ). I filed disputes with all three credit agencies in XX/XX/XXXX. They have all updated to varying degrees but remain mostly incorrect, maintaining a derogatory status with an open, past due balance that is further damaging my credit. XXXX advice for disagreeing with the outcome of a dispute is to contact the lender directly, which I have already done unsuccessfully. Since XXXX XXXX and XXXX both claim to not have ownership of this loan, neither are willing/able to update the credit bureaus, and it seems the credit bureaus can only update the reports to an extent without confirmation from the lender. I settled my debt, I am simply asking for my credit to reflect that.
