I have filed multiple disputes with Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion regarding inaccurate and unverifiable information on my credit reports. Over the past year, I have submitted at least five disputes in XXXX and several in XXXX. Each time, I specifically requested verification documents such as account contracts, billing statements, proof of debt ownership, and authorization for inquiries. Instead of providing any supporting documentation or evidence of their investigations, the credit bureaus only sent me final results letters restating the information, without verification. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), the credit bureaus are required to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation and provide the method of verification when disputed items remain. They have failed to do this, despite my repeated disputes. I am requesting that the CFPB require the credit bureaus to either : 1. Provide full supporting documentation showing that these accounts, collections, and inquiries are valid, accurate, and legally reportable ; or 2. Delete the disputed items from my credit reports in compliance with the FCRA. Supporting dispute letters from my most recent round are attached.
