I tried to make a payment of {$110.00} to my capital one credit card and it ended up being a returned payment because I forgot to move the money from my savings to my checking account. While this is my error I had no idea that this would result in an account closure even though I made the payment even after I realized I didnt make the payment correctly. I feel like this shouldnt be the case when I have no delinquencies and always make my payments on time. This happened on XX/XX/2025. Capital one says there is nothing they can do about it and I have to re apply to get a new credit card instead of re opening my account.
