Since early XXXX, I have been disputing move-out charges that are both inaccurate and retaliatory. I provided photographic evidence showing that the ceiling and other damages were present prior to move-in. Despite this, XXXX XXXX charged me for a mattress pad that did not belong to us, which was in new condition upon move-out but was subsequently damaged by management and then wrongfully billed to us. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX has also demonstrated a broader pattern of misconduct. Tenants who post truthful, negative reviews online are met with retaliatory charges for fabricated or exaggerated damages. In some cases, tenants are billed for cleaning up messes caused by management staff themselves. When tenants refuse to pay these fraudulent charges, accounts are sent to collections, thereby damaging their credit. Most recently, our account was referred to a collection agency, despite the fact that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX have already been provided with clear and sufficient evidence proving that these charges are invalid.
