On or around XX/XX/XXXX, Halsted 's attorney furnished a response to my complaint about their attempts to collect a debt already paid and did mention that I made a payment but neglected to mention that the payment was for the agreed upon amount to settle the debt. Their statement was crafted to make it appear as though they never got paid when in fact they did. I am attaching all supporting documentation refuting their false statement to the CFPB, and my complaint. Payment of {$380.00} cleared my bank on XX/XX/year> in the amount of {$380.00}. XXXX check number XXXX as my supporting documents clearly show. In regards to their statement that Halsted doesn't furnish information to credit reporting agencies, if this is true then how is it that Halsted appeared on my credit report and also deleted their tradeline after I settled the debt? Is it their other entity XXXX XXXX? Either way, their statement that they don't report to CRA 's is also false.
