Mr. Cooper/Nation Star sent a payoff quote to the title company ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) for my home that I was selling. XXXX XXXX XXXX paid Mr. Cooper/Nation Star based on the payoff quote provided to them and the account was paid promptly on XX/XX/year> at closing. Then after the home was closed, funded and transferred to the new owners and the money was sent to Mr. Cooper/Nation Star, apparently they found an error in their payoff information. Mr. Cooper/Nation Star held the money sent to them from the title company and did not record any payment being made until XX/XX/year>. I was not at fault and the Title company sent the payoff they were given. What they are doing is illegal and it has drastically reduced my credit score. I should not be penalized for an error on Mr. Cooper/Nation Star 's part because they didn't provide correct payoff information in a timely manor.
