Subject : Formal Request for Verification, Correction, or Deletion of Information Under the FCRA Dear XXXX XXXX Regarding your letter dated XX/XX/year>, in response to my CFPB complaint, I am exercising my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), 15 U.S.C. 1681 et seq. If the information in my file can not be conclusively and properly verified with valid documentation, I demand that it be immediately deleted under 15 U.S.C. 1681i ( a ) ( 5 ). Furthermore, please note : I do not acknowledge any fraudulent or irregular activity related to my banking accounts. I have not been provided with any evidence proving the accuracy of the alleged negative report. Any information not supported by valid documentary evidence will be deemed inaccurate and potentially defamatory. For identity verification purposes, I have enclosed the following documents : A copy of my current Social Security card. Proof of my current address. A copy of my valid drivers license. Please provide a written response within the timeframe required by the FCRA. Failure to provide a complete and satisfactory response will leave me no choice but to escalate my complaint with the CFPB, FTC, and any other relevant regulatory authorities, including pursuing legal action for damages as provided under 15 U.S.C. 1681n and 1681o.
