I am disputing a collection account placed by TekCollect on behalf of XXXX. Account/Reference Number : XXXX ( TekCollect ). I signed up for XXXX on XX/XX/year>, and paid for a full aligner treatment plan. However, the company filed for bankruptcy on XX/XX/year>, shortly after I enrolled. They abruptly ceased operations and failed to provide the full treatment, including additional aligners, retainers, and monitoring that were included in the original contract. Despite XXXX bankruptcy and failure to fulfill their obligations, TekCollect has been attempting to collect the remaining balance {$3400.00} and reported this to the credit bureaus. I have disputed the debt with them directly and requested validation, but have not received a proper response. My XXXX XXXX has dropped over XXXX points as a result of this inaccurate and unfair collection. This debt should not be considered valid, and TekCollect should not be allowed to continue collection activity or report it to the credit bureaus. I am requesting the CFPB to intervene and help have this item removed from my credit reports.
