I am filing this complaint because [ Equifax/Experian/TransUnion ] is inaccurately reporting a dismissed bankruptcy on my credit file and has failed to correct it despite multiple disputes. My bankruptcy case, No. XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ), in the XXXX Bankruptcy XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, was dismissed with prejudice on XXXX XXXX XXXX as shown in the attached court order. Despite this dismissal, the bankruptcy is still being reported in a way that suggests it is active or valid. I have disputed this item multiple times and provided the court dismissal order. However, [ Equifax/Experian/TransUnion ] continued to verify the item without providing the method of verification, violating FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 7 ). Bankruptcy courts do not furnish or verify information to credit reporting agencies, so this reporting is inaccurate and misleading, violating FCRA 1681e ( b ) ( duty to ensure maximum possible accuracy ) and 611 ( duty to reinvestigate ).
