I am filing this complaint because I submitted an FTC Identity Theft Report and sent written dispute letters to all three major credit bureaus : Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. These letters included the FTC report, my identification, and a request to investigate and remove fraudulent or inaccurate items from my credit reports. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), the credit bureaus are required to conduct an investigation and respond within 30 days of receiving a dispute. However, it has now been over 30 days since they received my dispute letters, and I have not received any response, confirmation, or resolution from any of the credit bureaus. This lack of response violates my rights under the FCRA and has caused continued harm to my credit profile, as the inaccurate and/or fraudulent information remains on my reports. I am asking the CFPB to investigate this matter and ensure that the credit bureaus comply with the law by : Responding to my dispute, Completing a proper investigation, And removing all inaccurate or fraudulent items identified in my FTC Identity Theft Report
