Equifax continues to report a bankruptcy they falsely claim was verified by the XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX in XXXX XXXX. That is false, courts do not verify or report information to credit bureaus. I personally contacted the court and confirmed this. Equifax also claimed XXXX verified the record, but XXXX was under a security freeze at the time. They could not have accessed anything. I asked Equifax to provide a letter or proof showing exactly who at the court verified this bankruptcy and when. They never answered. I am now demanding the CFPB take action. This violates FCRA Section 611 and has caused serious harm to me as a XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX combat veteran. I uploaded Equifaxs own documents showing they claim verification from the court, but offer no proof. Either theyre lying or the court is. I want written proof or for Equifax to delete the bankruptcy immediately.
