I missed a bill from the XXXX company for the annual XXXX dues, which I have had for XXXX years. XXXX sent it to collections without any warningI never got another bill. XXXX XXXX sent me a letter in XXXX. I tried to pay XXXX but they said they could not accept any payment and that I had to work with XXXX. The original dues were to be paid by XX/XX/XXXX. I called XXXX and offered to pay them the original amount ( {$1800.00} ) plus interest of {$100.00} on that day, but I strongly disputed the additional {$800.00} in XXXXXXXX XXXX of the original balance. They refused my offer of payment unless I paid all the fees but they could not explain why they added so much on. I contacted them via email XX/XX/XXXX to offer to pay the {$1900.00} but not the exorbitant fees and also to request a full written explanation of these fees, their contractual basis, and how they were calculated. They never responded to my request, but they started emailing me the same letter demanding payment. Also the person I spoke to over the phone said they would send me to collections if I didnt pay the whole thing. I tried to pay via their website, but they have me check a box if I wasnt paying the amount in full that said this would not be satisfying the payment.
