I submitted an application in XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. I reside in North Carolina, about an hour from the school. My application was accepted, but at that time I was working with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX In order to attend the school, all payments for tuition and fees would have to be cleared, approved, and paid directly to the school from the VA. A debt collector reached out to inform me that I currently owe {$720.00} from balance owed, penalties, and interest from a bill sent from XXXX. I reached out to the collections company in regards to the matter, requesting information and verification of the debt. The collections company sent me a letter on XX/XX/XXXX with my information, the school 's information, and the breakdown of the balance owed. In addition, the letter also stated My XXXX XXXX XXXX was also attached, but it was not attached. The breakdown of balance owed states I owed a Security Fee, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and months worth of penalties and interest on the unpaid balance. I never attended the campus, nor have I taken any classes on the campus. In addition to never attending the campus, I did not participate in any classes that would yield semester hours online, either. In the event that I would have attended, the VA would have paid the school directly. I did some research on the XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX XXXX. I believe that Reliant Capital Solutions is fraudulently trying to collect a debt that I do not owe. They are not Registered or Licensed in the State of North Carolina, where I reside, nor do I believe they are authorized to conduct business as a Debt Collector in this state.
