XXXX XXXXWashington, DC XXXX Subject : Complaint Regarding Late Payment Reporting by XXXX Dear CFPB Representative, I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding how XXXX has handled the reporting of a late payment on my credit account. I had been a responsible customer with XXXX, They had close my account unexpectedly for their personal reason. I spoke to customer service when I became unable because I had lost my job and had no where to live, I take my credit report very seriously and I dont have a history of late payments. I was mis-inform that I can do a pay and delete with XXXX, and that was not true, I promptly addressed the issue once I became aware of it. Unfortunately, XXXX has reported this late payment to the credit bureaus, which is negatively impacting my credit score. I reached out to XXXX to request a goodwill adjustment or to explain the circumstances, but my efforts have not led to a resolution. I believe this reporting is unfair and does not reflect my overall credit history and prompt payment behavior. I respectfully request that the CFPB investigate this matter and help facilitate a fair resolution.
