CFPB Complaint Summary 1. What happened? I submitted multiple disputes to XXXX XXXX / Equifax / TransUnion regarding inaccurate and fraudulent information on my credit report. I also provided supporting documentation, including an FTC identity theft report, police report, and proof of identity and address. Despite my request for a manual reinvestigation and a formal Method of Verification ( MOV ), the credit bureau failed to conduct a proper investigation. I also requested the removal of outdated personal information and fraudulent accounts stemming from identity theft and data breaches, but they failed to comply. Furthermore, I filed identity theft reports and submitted them in accordance with FCRA 605B, which requires blocking of fraudulent data within 4 business days. These fraudulent accounts are still being reported, and I have not received adequate responses or verification. This agency appears to have relied on automated systems ( such as e-OSCAR ) without properly reviewing the documentation I submitted. I continue to receive alerts regarding unauthorized changes of address and dark web exposures of my personal data, which further supports the urgency of my case. 2. What do you believe is the issue?
