On XXXX, around XXXX XXXX, as me and my friends were leaving XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX 2 men approached us saying they are from a community organization called Bucket Boys and asked for a donation, to which I sent them {$10.00}. Then, they asked us to follow them on XXXX, and I opened my XXXX, and handed my phone to one of them to search their XXXX name for me. After a while he gave me my phone back and I realized he had uninstalled my Discover banking app and also taken out an additional {$990.00}, which I did not consent to nor was I aware of at the time of its happening. The {$10.00} I willingly sent as a donation and the {$990.00} I was scammed out of, were both sent through XXXX using my Discover XXXX account. I reported this scam to both Discover and XXXX, along with filing a police report. I got a letter from Discover today saying that the {$990.00} was considered a valid transaction and that this type of scam was not protected under regulation E of the Electronic Funds Act. Please let me know if I have any options in getting back my money or being reimbursed.
