My son had an account with XXXX XXXX XXXX approximately XXXX years ago, and given his XXXX XXXXXXXX did not understand that he was signing a contract that could potentially cause damage to his credit if left unpaid. They attempted to contact him in XXXX, however, he was out of the country visiting family for a few months and had left the phone with me. When he returned, he was notified of the debt and shown that he could potentially be referred to for credit review. He paid immediately, and then was sent to collections XXXX days following payment. To be clear, he is XXXX XXXX, and not in a position to sign any kind of contract. XXXX XXXX tried to recall the debt after we spoke with a lawyer who informed me that it would be our best bet. So, with a script that I had proposed, he contacted both XXXX XXXX and Aldous and Associates. XXXX XXXX, as stated above, attempted to recall the debt. Aldous and Associates refused as the account was paid for, thus, closed on their end.
