am submitting this complaint regarding a phone bill account that has already been paid in full, yet continues to be inaccurately reported and/or pursued. The original debt was related to a XXXX account. I satisfied the full balance on this account and have documentation proving that the debt was paid I have made several attempts to contact the phone service provider and/or the collection agency to request that they update their records and correct the inaccurate reporting, but to date, the issue remains unresolved. This situation is unfair and misleading, as it implies I have failed to meet a financial obligation that I have already fulfilled. I am requesting the CFPBs assistance in ensuring that : All credit reporting agencies update their records to reflect that this account has been paid in full and is no longer outstanding. Any collection agency involved is instructed to cease all collection efforts immediately. I am provided with formal written confirmation stating that the account has a XXXX balance and is satisfied.
