On or around XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed that a previously deleted XXXX XXXX bankruptcy ( filed XX/XX/XXXX ) had been reinserted into my TransUnion credit report. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 5 ) ( B ) ), if a previously deleted item is reinserted, the credit bureau must : 1. Obtain certification of accuracy from the data furnisher, and 2. Notify the consumer within 5 business days of the reinsertion. As of XX/XX/XXXX, I have not received any reinsertion notice or supporting documentation from TransUnion. Furthermore, I froze my TransUnion and XXXX consumer files on XX/XX/XXXX, prior to the reinsertion. XXXX is the primary data source used to verify public records such as bankruptcies. Because my data was inaccessible at the time, I am concerned that TransUnion could not have properly verified this public record. This reinsertion has negatively impacted my credit score, and I have received no explanation, notice, or verification regarding the reappearance of the item. I am requesting that the item be removed until full FCRA reinsertion procedures are followed, and that documentation of the verification source and furnisher be provided.
