I was attempting to open a Paypal Debit Card. I have been with Paypal more than 20 years, but did not have a pre-paid debit card. I was following instructions from their on-line " messenger '' or bot. It asked me to go to my checking account and deposit {$300.00}. Yes, they specified it be {$300.00}. I did. I had not even logged off with my bank was {$280.00} was withdrawn. I did not even have the numbers to the card yet! It was charged to something called XXXX. I attempted to contact this company, but this is no such place. I went back to Paypal and they insisted it was authorized. Again, I was given no service and received no item. I have entered a claim ( twice ) and each time, the claim is denied, with the explanation " After carefully reviewing your case, we found that this was an authorized transaction so it couldnt be covered under PayPal Purchase Protection. " It is listed that " This dispute has ended in the Seller 's favor '' I'll bet, because they ; re probably the seller!
