I am filing this complaint regarding two credit card accounts issued by Wells Fargo, ending in XXXX and XXXX. Neither account has ever been legally validated under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) or the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). I have not received any signed contract, original agreement, or legal documentation proving that I am responsible for either account. Account ending in XXXX has already been removed from my credit reports after a previous dispute, yet it remains active within Wells Fargo 's internal system. I want to ensure that this account is permanently closed and not sold, transferred, or re-reported in the future. Account ending in XXXX is still being reported and is now over 180 days past due. I have not received any validation, proof of liability, or confirmation that it is legally linked to my identity. I request that the CFPB require Wells Fargo to : Provide full legal validation for both accounts, including signed agreements ; Prove lawful linkage to my Social Security Number ; Cease any reporting, collection, or sale of these accounts without full legal validation ; Permanently close and discharge any unvalidated debt. If Wells Fargo can not provide proper documentation, these accounts must not be collected on, reported, or sold to any third party. Failure to comply may be subject to further action under the FCRA and FDCPA
