Consumer Narrative
RE : Account Name XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account # XXXX Amount : {$790.00} Subject : Formal Dispute and Demand for Deletion of Charge-Off Accounts Pursuant to 15 U.S.C. 1681e & 1681i This serves as a formal dispute and demand for the immediate deletion of all charge-off accounts currently appearing on my credit report. I am asserting my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), specifically : 15 U.S. Code 1681e which requires that consumer reporting agencies maintain procedures to ensure maximum possible accuracy of the information reported ; and 15 U.S. Code 1681i which requires consumer reporting agencies to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation of any information disputed by the consumer and to delete or correct any unverifiable, inaccurate, or incomplete information. Upon reviewing my credit reports, I have identified charge-off accounts that are inaccurate, incomplete, and/or unverifiable. The continued reporting of this derogatory information, especially without concrete and verified evidence, constitutes a violation of federal law. Accordingly, I demand the following : A complete reinvestigation of all charge-off accounts currently listed on my credit file ; Immediate deletion of any charge-off entries that can not be fully verified for accuracy and completeness ; Written confirmation of the outcome of your investigation within the required 30-day period, as mandated by federal law. Should you continue to report unverifiable or inaccurate charge-off accounts, I will not hesitate to file formal complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ), Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ) , and consider seeking legal remedies for willful noncompliance with the FCRA.
