Between XXXX and XX/XX/year>, I submitted three formal disputes to the credit reporting agencies regarding multiple student loan accounts being reported by the U.S. Department of Education. There are at least three duplicate tradelines ( with similar account numbers ending in XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ), all marked as closed, with {$0.00} past due, but still listed as collection accounts. These appear to be the same original loans, being reported multiple times under slightly different account numbers. This is causing my total student loan balance to appear artificially inflated and gives the impression of multiple defaulted accounts when that is not the case. These entries are both inaccurate and materially misleading, which violates multiple sections of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). Despite submitting three rounds of disputes through the credit bureaus, the data furnisher has failed to correct or remove the inaccurate information, and the accounts continue to report unchanged
