Between XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I sent approximately {$2900.00} through Zelle as payment for a promised service. The person I was dealing with instructed me to send payments to another individuals account. Another partner was also involved. Despite repeated requests for the service and communication, the service was never delivered. The individuals left me on read multiple times, showed a lack of communication, and became upset when I persistently asked for updates. Eventually, communication stopped altogether. I have recently reported this scam to Zelles customer support and am awaiting their investigation. I request that the CFPB ensure Zelle and the involved banks thoroughly review these transactions and assist with recovering my funds.
