Applied for a student loan refinance and was offered a rate of 4.82 %. Once everything was done in my end for the loan they came back and said they are offering me a rate .9 % higher, over 5.7 %. Their reasoning on the phone was due to a significant change in your credit history. I looked at my credit report and my score changed XXXX point from XXXX to XXXX, XXXX being when I originally asked for the loan. I spoke to a supervisor who said she would get back to me at the end of the day if I did not get a call back from the underwriting team, however it is XXXX XXXX XXXX and I never received a call from the supervisor or the underwriting team. I feel like they are doing a bait and switch with me.
